The Marine Corps Marathon begins in Arlington, Virginia, just outside of Washington, D.C. The starting location for the race is at the Pentagon in Arlington. On the day of the event, participants and spectators can take advantage of the Metro subway system, with the Pentagon City Metro station being the closest to the starting location.
